This
panorama from the new north wing's second level shows, on the left,
the glass-walled commons area. Set up here for a luncheon, it
normally serves as a lounge and gathering place for students from all
the scientific disciplines. Non-science majors reportedly come
here, too, and some even use the adjoining science library to study.
The
small lounge on the right side of this panorama also includes a
podium and whiteboard, just in case somebody wants to give an
informal lecture. In the background, we can see through the
southern glass wall and across the lawn and Lorain Street to Finney Chapel.
